SWEEEEET! I have zero experience in electronics. I bought the Subaru Aux-in Install Kit (about $62 with shipping) after reading the positive reviews of others on here. I read the manual, and it seemed like there weren't too many steps for no-nothing like me. So I ordered and it arrived after about 5 business days.
This morning I got to work at 9:30am. I had a little bit of difficulty getting the trim around the CD player off, but with some careful back-and-forth it popped off. The rest of the steps of disconnecting and disassembling were a cinch. The hard steps are orienting the thing when it's in pieces and not being 100% sure of whether or not I needed an additional cord (answer: NO, all parts are INCLUDED!). Got it installed, put it back and BOOM! Sounded great. Even found a home for every last screw, which made me feel like a real pro.
The final install looks super clean, with the aux cable coming out of my coin tray. My wife is going to love it. A+++ Would recommend to anyone that has a even a tiny bit of handyman ability in them. If you really can't fix things around the house - just take your car to a car audio place because you'll end up breaking your functioning radio/CD player. Everyone else - BUY FROM JAZZY ENGINEERING!!!!
Good luck and hope this helps! ~Nick
